Rapid tests are quick and easy tests that are usually conducted when you are exhibiting symptoms of a SARS-CoV-2 infection. They can be conducted within 15 minutes but usually are not as accurate as a QPCR detection.
QPCR detection, on the other hand, take slightly longer but can produce much more accurate results. The KimForest SARS-CoV-2 Detection Kit v1 uses QPCR detection to produce its extremely accurate results. The KimForest SARS-CoV-2 Detection Kit v1 produces results much quicker and produces results within 100 minutes compared to the few days it takes for other QPCR detection kits to produce results.
The KimForest SARS-CoV-2 Detection Kit v1 can use oropharyngeal and nasopharyngeal swab specimens, anterior nasal and mid-turbinate nasal swabs, nasopharyngeal washes/aspirates, nasal aspirates, as well as bronchoalveolar (BALs) specimens.
Our limit of detection in producing accurate results is 200 copies of viral RNA per milliliter.
